Principle of Security:

The principles of security, often referred to as the “CIA Triad,” encompass three fundamental concepts:

  1. Confidentiality: Ensuring that information is accessible only to those who are authorized to access it. This involves measures such as encryption, access controls, and data classification to protect sensitive information from unauthorized disclosure.
  2. Integrity: Maintaining the accuracy and reliability of data and systems by preventing unauthorized modification, deletion, or alteration. Techniques such as digital signatures, checksums, and access controls help ensure that data remains unchanged and trustworthy.
  3. Availability: Ensuring that information and resources are accessible and usable when needed by authorized users. This involves implementing redundancy, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery measures to minimize downtime and ensure continuous access to critical systems and data.

These principles form the foundation of information security practices and guide the development and implementation of security measures to protect against various threats and risks.
