Unprotected Computer:

An Unprotected computer is one that does not:

  1. have antivirus or spyware protection software installed and updated regularly.
  2. have installed hardware/software (such as firewall) to manage communications between and among networks.
  3. have an offsite back-up of important files.
  4. require the user to authenticate (using a password) when logging on.
  5. have operating systems patches installed and regularly updated.
