AND Function
Explanation
AND returns TRUE only when all conditions are TRUE.
Syntax
=AND(logical1,logical2,…)
Example
A student must score at least 40 in both English and Maths.

Formula:
=AND(B2>=40,C2>=40)
Results:
- Amit → TRUE
- Neha → FALSE
- Rahul → TRUE
Combined with IF:
=IF(AND(B2>=40,C2>=40),”Pass”,”Fail”)
OR Function
Explanation
OR returns TRUE when at least one condition is TRUE.
Syntax
=OR(logical1,logical2,…)
Example:
=OR(B2>=90,C2>=90)
If either subject has 90 or more, the result is TRUE.
NOT Function
Explanation
NOT reverses a logical result.
Syntax
=NOT(logical)
Example:
=NOT(B2=”Paid”)
If B2 contains Paid, the result is FALSE.
Practice
Create an Employee Eligibility sheet using:
=AND(B2>=40,C2>=40)
and
=OR(B2>=90,C2>=90)
