Copy, Cut and Paste help you work with data quickly.

Copy (Ctrl + C): Creates a duplicate.

Cut (Ctrl + X): Moves the selected data.

Paste (Ctrl + V): Places copied or cut data in another location.

The Fill Handle is the small square at the bottom-right of a selected cell. It can copy data or continue recognized patterns.

AutoFill Examples

Excel can automatically continue patterns such as:

1, 2, 3, 4…

January, February, March…

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday…

Practice

Create:

  1. Numbers from 1 to 20.
  2. January to December.
  3. A list of 10 students.

Use AutoFill, Copy and Paste instead of entering everything manually.
