Example:

Result: 28-Sep-2026
DAY
Returns the day of the month.
=DAY(A2)
If A2 = 28-Sep-2026:
Result: 28
MONTH
Returns the month number.
=MONTH(A2)
Result: 9
YEAR
Returns the year.
=YEAR(A2)
Result: 2026
