The Developer tab provides tools for:

Enable Developer Tab

File → Options → Customize Ribbon → Developer → OK

Record a Macro

Example:

Record a macro that formats a sales report.

Steps

  1. Developer → Record Macro
  2. Enter Macro Name
  3. Choose where to store it
  4. Perform the required actions
  5. Developer → Stop Recording

Run a Macro

Developer → Macros → Select Macro → Run

Practice

Record a macro that:

  • Makes the header bold
  • Adds a fill
  • Adds borders
  • Adjusts column widths
