Explanation

A One-Variable Data Table changes one input while keeping other inputs constant.

Example

Business model:

Input

Value

Quantity

100

Selling Price

₹500

Cost per Unit

₹300

Fixed Cost

₹5,000

Profit Formula

=(B2*B3)-(B2*B4)-B5

Current Profit:

₹15,000

Now test different Selling Prices:

Selling Price

Profit

₹400

₹450

₹500

₹550

₹600

The Data Table calculates the corresponding profit for every price.

  5. Go to Data → What-If Analysis → Data Table.
  6. Select the appropriate Column input cell.
  7. Click OK.
