AVERAGEIF

Calculates the average of values meeting one condition.

Syntax

=AVERAGEIF(range,criteria,[average_range])

Example:

=AVERAGEIF(B2:B10,”North”,C2:C10)

Returns the average sales for the North region.

AVERAGEIFS

Calculates an average based on multiple conditions.

Syntax

=AVERAGEIFS(average_range,criteria_range1,criteria1,…)

Example:

=AVERAGEIFS(C2:C10,B2:B10,”North”,D2:D10,”Laptop”)

Returns the average Laptop sales in the North region.
