A Slicer provides visual buttons for filtering PivotTables.

Example:

City

[Sirsa] [Hisar] [Fatehabad] [Abohar]

Clicking Sirsa instantly filters the PivotTable.

Create Slicer

PivotTable Analyze → Insert Slicer

Select fields such as:

  • City
  • Product
  • Category
  • Employee

Timelines

A Timeline provides a visual way to filter date-based PivotTables.

Create Timeline

PivotTable Analyze → Insert Timeline

You can filter by:

  • Years
  • Quarters
  • Months
  • Days

Practice
