Dashboard Planning

Before creating a dashboard, decide:

  1. Who will use it?
  2. What decisions should it support?
  3. Which KPIs are important?
  4. Which charts are required?
  5. Which filters are needed?
  6. What data source will be used?

Example — Sales Dashboard

Questions:

  • How much did we sell?
  • Which product sold the most?
  • Which city generated the most sales?
  • Which employee performed best?
  • How are sales changing over time?
